Wet Nose Wednesday: Benton

July 12, 2017

Every Wednesday at 8:40, the Mike and Mandy show teams up with Woof River Animal Rescue to find a forever home for a homeless dog.  Today our featured pet is Benton.

Benton (lovingly known in his foster home as Jughead) is a fantastically happy dude!   He seriously loves everything about life.   One of his favorite things is going for walks.

His foster mom says nothing rattles this guy; he would make friends with squirrels if he could.  Another big time joy in BENTON's life is receiving belly rubs.  He could lie on his back for an hour if someone was willing to keep rubbing!

BENTON also helps "clean the house."  He goes around the rooms and picks up all the toys and makes one big pile on the dog bed.   He is excellent in the car and lounges in his crate contently when his foster family is away from home.

He is a little over a year old, 84 lbs, and we think he is a mastiff/ lab mix.  He isn't a high-energy guy, but does get super excited when company comes over.  He is working on resisting the urge to jump up to say hi.  BENTON is great with both dogs and kitties.  He has never met a stranger.  He is sure to spread his happiness around his forever home for life.
