Life is like a box of chocolates!

Well, not really. Here are the top 10 Most Popular Chocolate Candy in the US...(CNBC) Where did your fav land?, take a look.. 10. Almond Joy Revenue Generated: $60.8 million Unit Sales: 62.2 million Peter Paul Candy Manufacturing, which was established in 1919, didn't invent the Almond Joy bar until 1946. Designed as the nuttier sibling to Mounds, it's made of sweetened coconut, topped with two almonds and covered in dark chocolate. Cadbury purchased Peter Paul in 1978 and Hershey bought the company's U.S. operations in 1988. 9. Milky Way Revenue Generated: $70.2 million Unit Sales: 84 million Created in 1923, this chocolate bar was named after the popular malted milk shake, not the Milky Way galaxy. It was designed to capture the taste of the malted drink and is made of chocolate malt-flavored nougat and caramel-covered milk chocolate. Milky Way also has the distinction of being Mars, Incorporated's first candy bar, created in Frank Mars' kitchen. At the time, it sold for just a nickel. 8. Hershey's Cookies N' Creme Revenue Generated: $80.4 million Unit Sales: 80.1 million This is the newest candy on our list. Hershey's Cookies 'N' Cream first hit the candy stands in 1994, and was billed as a unique twist on the classic Hershey Chocolate Bar. It's made of white chocolate and promises cookies in every bite. 7. 3 Musketeers Revenue Generated: $100.7 million Unit Sales: 102.5 million When it was first introduced in 1932, 3 Musketeers was three pieces and three flavors: vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. The candy bar is now a single piece made of fluffy chocolate-flavored nougat covered with milk chocolate. The 3 Musketeers family recently expanded to include a Mint bar and Truffle Crisp. 6. Twix Revenue Generated: $169.9 million Unit Sales: 153.4 million Bringing in just under $170 million in sales, Mars' Twix sits right in the middle of our top ten list. The crunchy cookie, caramel and chocolate bar is a relative newcomer to the American marketplace compared other top sellers. It was introduced in the U.S. in 1979. 5. Kit Kat Revenue Generated: $201.8 million Unit Sales: 202.5 million This British creation was launched in 1935 by Rowntree Limited of York and was originally called Chocolate Crisp. It was later renamed Kit Kat, allegedly after the Kit Kat club, an 18th century Whig literacy club in England. Nestle acquired Rowntree in 1988 and now produces Kit Kat for over 70 countries. In the US, however, you'll see a different name on the label. Hershey has been the licensed US manufacturer of the chocolate bar since 1969. 4. Hershey's Revenue Generated: $249 million Unit Sales: 264.6 million The oldest candy bar on our list, Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bar was developed in 1900 by Milton S. Hershey. Hershey wanted everyone to be able to enjoy the great taste of milk chocolate, which was a privilege only the wealth enjoyed at the time. So he started his chocolate operation right in the heart of the Pennsylvania's dairy county and charged just a nickel for his candy bar. From 1941 to 1945, The Hershey Company produced more than a billion rations bars for troops serving in World War II. These days, Hershey makes more than 373 million of its signature candy bar every year. 3. Snickers Revenue Generated: $386.2 million Unit Sales: 405.3 million Mars calls Snickers the world's most popular chocolate bar, although it is third on our list of U.S. chocolate candy sales. Introduced in 1930, the bar was named after one of the Mars family's favorite horses. More than 99 tons of peanuts go into making over 15 million Snickers bars each day, and each bar contains around 16 peanuts. 2. Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Revenue Generated: $398.9 million Unit Sales: 366.2 million The inventor of these tasty treats, Harry Burnett Reese, was a former dairy employee of Milton S. Hershey who decided to strike out on his own and make a living in the candy business. Reese began selling his peanut butter cups in five-pound boxes for candy assortments in the 1920s, and the candy soon surged in popularity. In 1963, things came full circle when Hershey bought the company for $23.5 million. Several decades later, the candy is still a hit. The company claims if you were to line up the Reese's sold annually, it would wrap around the earth several times. 1. M&Ms Revenue Generated: $406.7 million Unit Sales: 417.7 million The best-selling chocolate treat on our list has been around since 1941 and was designed by Forrest Mars Sr. so consumers could enjoy their chocolate without having it melt in their hands. M&Ms, which was named after its inventors Forrest Mars and R. Bruce Murrie, were served to GIs serving in World War II and went on its first space mission in 1982. M&Ms are red, yellow, blue, orange and green, but it's red that gets top billing -- it has been the official "spokescandy" since 1952. There are now eight permanent varieties of M&Ms candies, as well as seasonal offerings.

Work Flirt

MEN WHO FLIRT AT WORK ARE BORED: Men who flirt at work are not necessarily doing so because they find you attractive -- many are in fact just bored. University of Surrey researchers asked more than two hundred men and women between the ages of 21 and 68 about whether they flirt at work. The lawyers, stockbrokers, charity workers and civil servants were also asked questions about their personalities, how satisfied they were in their jobs and how hard they worked. The results revealed a clear difference between the sexes. Women who flirted were just as happy in their jobs as those who kept relationships on a strictly business basis. However, male flirts tended to be less satisfied with their jobs. A business psychologist explained, "If men are feeling unsatisfied in their roles, then they may resort to flirting to keep them entertained and this would partially explain the negative relationship." National Teacher Day!

Below is a list of great ways for you to do something on National Teacher Day May 3: 1) Thank a teacher – Visit your old school, pick up the phone or just write an email. Whichever way you decide to do it, showing your gratitude to one of our nation’s educators is an important act. Teacher’s aren’t paid well and yet they have one of the most important jobs in society — that’s why showing your appreciation is crucial. 2) Tell someone else about a teacher who changed your life – Sometimes it’s difficult to get in touch with some of your old teachers. So if you can’t find them, tell someone in your life about them. It’s a distant way to show your appreciation, but the story of their care and inspiration will live on. 3) Make a donation – Many of our nation’s great teachers don’t have the supplies or budgets necessary to help their students. Luckily there are non-profit organizations that help contribute money to schools in need. Show you care about teacher’s doing their best by making a donation today by visiting sites like I Love Schools.

My Best Fit, Body Scanner.

Shopping for clothes can be a frustrating experience for women, with the wide variation in sizes among brands meaning they something like a size 12 in one store could be the same as a size 4 in another. That means sometimes having to try on an armful of clothes just to find the right size. The New York Times reported yesterday (April 25th) on a new company called MyBestFit that's trying to make things easier with 20-second full-body scans that tell women shoppers what size they need in different brands. MyBestFit is setting up kiosks in shopping malls that women step into fully clothed and that use low-power radio waves to record about 200,000 body measurements. The system then matches the measurements to clothes in its database and gives customers a printout of the sizes at each store that ought to fit them best. MyBestFit currently uses clothing measurements from about 50 stores, including Old Navy, Eddie Bauer and Talbots.

Exit, stage left.

SIGNS IT'S TIME TO QUIT YOUR JOB (Yahoo!) You Aren't Learning Anything New Yes, you want to know how to do most of your job. But there are also things you want to be learning; otherwise you are not growing professionally. If you have stopped learning at work, it's time to find a job where you will learn new skills and grow professionally. You Never Have a Day When You Wake Up Excited To Go To Work If you wake up every morning Monday through Friday and never feel excited to go to work, that is a problem. It means you aren't enjoying your job and it is diminishing your quality of life. If you wake up every day and dread going to work, it's time to consider quitting your job. You Spend More Time Surfing the Web Than Doing Your Job When you are at work, you are supposed to be productive. Otherwise, it's a waste of your time and the company's money. If you are bored and surfing the web most of your work day, you may want to think about looking into job options where you'll get more stimulation and responsibilities. You Don't Like Most of Your Coworkers There are always one or two coworkers in the office that most people can't stand. But if you don't like most of your coworkers, chances are your days aren't very enjoyable because you have to work with them day in and day out. If you can't stand most of your coworkers, it's time to think about finding a company whose employees you mesh with better. You Aren't Making Enough Money to Pay Your Bills If you are working your butt off and not getting paid enough to pay your bills, you might be overqualified and underpaid for your position. Go find a job that pays what you deserve. You Spend Time Looking For Other Jobs If you are spending time looking for other jobs while you are on the clock, it's obvious you want to leave your job. So keep looking for new jobs and as soon as you find a good one, take it and run. You Haven't Gotten a Raise in the Last Two Years If you work hard and benefit the company you work for, you deserve to be rewarded for that. If your boss hasn't given you a raise in the last two years, ask for one. If he or she says no, get out now. Your Boss Sucks Sometimes bosses suck. But if your boss sucks all the time and takes advantage of your time, it's time to find a new job. The Company Isn't Doing Well This sign varies from company to company. You must keep in mind that we are in a recession and if sales are down but the company isn't in jeopardy, this sign may not apply to you. However, if business is down to the point where it looks like the company is going to go under, start looking for a new job NOW! You are Stressed All the Time You are supposed to enjoy life, not be stressed out all the time. If you spend most of your days stressed about everything that going on at work, you are not at the right job.

Black Swan

Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky is defending Natalie Portman against claims that she only danced five percent of the full-body shots in the film. A controversy erupted after Portman's dancing double Sarah Lane came forward claiming that she was responsible for the majority of the dancing in the film. Aronofsky released a statement in Portman's defense, saying, "Here is the reality. I had my editor count shots. There are 139 dance shots in the film. 111 are Natalie Portman untouched. 28 are her dance double Sarah Lane. If you do the math that's 80% Natalie Portman. What about duration? The shots that feature the double are wide shots and rarely play for longer than one second. There are two complicated longer dance sequences that we used face replacement. Even so, if we were judging by time over 90% would be Natalie Portman." He added, "I am responding to this to put this to rest and to defend my actor. Natalie sweated long and hard to deliver a great physical and emotional performance. And I don't want anyone to think that's not her they are watching. It is." SARAH'S CLAIMS Lane, who worked on the film for six weeks, told EW.com, "They wanted to create this idea in people's minds that Natalie was some kind of prodigy or so gifted in dance and really worked so hard to make herself a ballerina in a year and a half for the movie, basically because of the Oscar. It is demeaning to the profession and not just to me. I've been doing this for 22 years. Can you become a concert pianist in a year and a half, even if you're a movie star?" Sarah added, "She can't dance in pointe shoes. And she can't move her body; she's very stiff." Aronofsky also addressed Lane's pointe accusations saying, "To be clear Natalie did dance on pointe in pointe shoes. If you look at the final shot of the opening prologue, which lasts 85 seconds, and was danced completely by Natalie, she exits the scene on pointe. That is completely her without any digital magic."

Who will replace Charlie?

Despite the wishes of either side, Rob Lowe will not be replacing Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men. Parks and Recreation producer Michael Schur revealed that Lowe has a "multiyear contract" with NBC, therefore he won't be leaving the network for CBS. Schur added that there was "no truth" to the Lowe replacement rumors, saying the media frenzy surrounding the rumor was like "The Internet lit a match and set itself on fire." Sheen actually endorsed Lowe as a replacement earlier this week, saying during a radio interview, "Rob's an old friend and a brilliant actor. And he's a beautiful man. What I would advise them to do, though, is just make it their own." Potential Charlie Sheen replacements: http://tinyurl.com/463e5g

IDOL diggs...Nice :)

The American Idol contestants are getting a taste of the high life. Last Friday, the 13 finalists moved into a Beverly Hills mansion that's worth an estimated $12 million. It's costing the show $100,000 a month to rent. The estate features nine bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a hot tub, pool, koi pond, game room with a pool table and of course -- amazing views. The contestants will remain in house -- where they will also be filmed -- until they're voted off the show. Check out the Idol pad: http://tinyurl.com/4v6mco9

Gas Savers..Maybe not...

GAS SAVING TIPS THAT DON'T ACTUALLY WORK (Yahoo.com) 1. Turning Off the AC Air conditioning in your home does a number on your electric bill, so it must drain your gas tank too, right? Not so much. Auto testing at Consumer Reports proves that running the AC uses such a nominal amount more in gas, you may as well turn on the AC and be comfortable on a hot day. Rolling down your windows can add drag, zapping your car's efficiency; for best gas mileage, run the fan and keep your windows rolled up. 2. Filling Up When It's Cold Outside Get your gas in the evening or early morning -- the fuel is cold, and therefore denser. The truth about this myth is that you can barely register a temperature difference, since gas is stored in cool underground tanks, so fill up when you want. There are no savings to be had by waiting until it's cool out. 3. Increasing Tire Pressure To get the most out of your gallon of gas, you should pump up those tires, some say. While driving on underinflated tires can cost you 3.75% in fuel economy, overinflating tires can be downright dangerous, since it reduces your grip on the road and could cause an accident. Proper tire inflation is important for safety and longevity of your tires, but don't expect any significant gas savings there. 4. Pouring Additives Where there's a need, there's a product, but that doesn't mean it actually works. Our desire for better fuel economy seems answered by fuel additives and even bolt-on devices -- but they're a complete waste of money according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). 5. Changing the Air Filter Taking care of your car is a good thing: You'll be able to drive it longer, and get the most for your money. Don't expect maintenance like changing the air filter to get you more miles out of the gas tank, though. Consumer Reports tests have shown that with today's computerized cars, clogged air filters don't actually reduce fuel economy. Take care of your car to make it last, but don't look at air filters to reduce your gas expense. 6. Keeping the Engine Running Starting a car sucks up fuel, some say, so keep the engine idling when possible. That's bad advice: today's fuel-injected vehicles are efficient and don't waste gas during start-ups anymore. In fact, idling can cost you up to half a gallon of gas an hour, so turn off the engine if you're not going anywhere.

Movies on Facebook!

This will be a trivia question someday!! I would have thought the first movie would be, "The Social Network"??...go fig.. Read More In another step in its march towards domination of the Internet, Facebook will now allow users to rent movies and watch them online. Warner Bros. is testing a service that will offer select movies for streaming rental or purchase through the public pages of those movies on Facebook. As of yesterday, Facebookers who go the official page of Batman: The Dark Knight can click a "watch" icon for $3, or 30 Facebook credits, and see the movie as many times as they want for 48 hours. Warner Bros. said it will add other movies in coming months. If other movie studios follow Warner Bros.' lead, a big loser in all this could be Netflix, and in fact the company's stock closed down 5.8 percent yesterday.

4 Jobs everyone should hold.. (at least once)

Thanks MSN!! Here are four jobs that can teach you valuable life lessons: 1. Server Everyone's been to a restaurant with bad service. You have a slow, inattentive server. Your food comes out the wrong way. And as a result, you tip the bare minimum -- or nothing at all. But have you ever stopped to think that it's not always the server's fault? (I mean, sometimes it is, but not always.) He or she could have given the cook your correct order -- but the cook messed up. A colleague could have called in sick, leaving your server with all of the tables in the restaurant. Yet the server takes the blame. What you'll learn: A job in food service teaches you empathy. Not only for the server, but for people in general. After all -- not everything is as it seems. Think about that the next time you want to leave a next-to-nothing tip. 2. Retail clerk You can always tell if someone has worked in retail before. Those who haven't sometimes treat sales clerks rudely or like they are above the workers. They may act as if the associate's only job in life is to assist in their retail therapy. Those who have worked in retail tend to have a little more patience with the sales associates and are more respectful toward them. What you'll learn: Just because someone's job is to help you doesn't give you the right to be rude or disrespectful. Those two virtues -- patience and respect -- will take you a long way in the way you treat other people. 3. Customer service Think about all of the times you've called customer service, whether at an airline, a cable company, your cell phone provider or an insurance company. Chances are, you called when you were angry or had a complaint. You probably chose to take your frustrations out on the customer service rep. After working in customer service -- specifically at a call center -- you'll hopefully change your behavior. You realize that whatever you're upset about is not the rep's fault. In fact, you know they want to help you. What you'll learn: A job in customer service can teach you kindness and will make you think twice about the way you treat people. 4. Manual labor It goes without saying that manual labor of any type, whether mowing lawns or construction, is hard work. Those who perform manual labor or have in the past know that the hours are long, the work is hard and you have to pay attention to everything, as safety is a large issue in most manual labor positions. What you'll learn: More than anything, manual labor will teach you work ethic. There is little room for error and no matter what you're doing, you'll be working hard.

Twitt-A-Lizing News!

The Village Voice, for one, is sick of Charlie's media takeover and is proposing that this Friday be officially declared "Worldwide Unfollow Charlie Sheen on Twitter Day." Why? "Think of the message we will send! Power to the people. If Charlie Sheen loses even 5 followers, well, that's 5 followers who won't retweet him. And if we don't care what Charlie Sheen is doing, we will stop talking about him and talk about something else. Anything else. If no one can hear a bitchin' rockstar tweet, does anyone care? Ask yourself that, and then hit "unfollow." It's so easy." Justin Bieber might have lost 80,000 Twitter fans after he cut his hair, but he's ready to make it up to them . . . by growing facial hair! He tweeted, "I'm not shaving for a month so you all can see my mustache. i'm pumped."

Light on the starch please, Eric.

Guitar icon Eric Clapton is on tour in the U.S., and he was spotted in Los Angeles rockin' an unusual house: A laundromat. And he was doing what pretty much everyone does there: His laundry. Leave it to TMZ to catch Clapton in the act of fluffing and folding. Their intrepid eyes and ears behind the camera lauded the legendary rocker for doing his own dirty--err, clean?--work, saying it shows he's "down to earth." Check out the video here: TMZ http://www.tmz.com/2011/03/04/eric-clapton-laundromat-video-wash-and-dry-clothes-song-spoofs-tmz-on-tv/ The next time you find yourself plugging those quarters in the machine of your neighborhood laundromat and waiting for the spin cycle to finish, just remind yourself that if Clapton can do it, you can, too.

Award Show, No No's...

Everyone is talking about whether or not host Ricky Gervais has been banned from future Golden Globe broadcasts, or if he should. Who cares? Here are 10 things that really should never appear on any awards show again. According to Defamer.com Thanking People We Don't Care About: The audience at home does not care about a winner's agent, producer, hairstylist, high school drama coach, or the lady who was nice to him once in the supermarket. Winners are only allowed to thank people whose names we know, like other famous people. Also, "God" counts as one of the beings we don't care about. Telling Your Kids to Go to Bed: This actually goes for any hackneyed acceptance line or gesture. Also on the list: fumbling for your list of people to thank, saying how shocked you are, thanking all the other nominees, or saying you don't know what to say. We all know you've been thinking about this minute for months. Just be honest and give the speech you've been reciting in front of the mirror since you were nominated, and please try to make it vaguely interesting and original. Presenter Banter By Anyone Other Than Comedians: If Steve Carell and Tina Fey want to come up with a little punchy something or other before they present Best Screenplay, then that's fine. But when producers try to convince some staid musician or otherwise humorless celebrity to tell a joke before they get to opening their envelope, the only thing you're going to get is awkwardness. Listening to them babble is already painful enough. Stylists: No celebrity walking the red carpet should have a stylist. They should have to go to the store, find a dress themselves, and pay for it. That way what they're wearing will be a reflection of who they are and they can be judged and mocked for it. There need to be more fashion disasters. And if they insist on having a stylist, they should say, "I'm wearing Armani picked out by Rachel Zoe," so that if it's ugly, we know who to blame and ridicule. Going into the Audience: The host belongs on stage, not in the audience interacting with the people sitting on the aisle. This goes one of two ways: It's either spontaneous and incredibly uncomfortable, or so rehearsed that its seeming spontaneity is exposed for what it really is—just another tired awards show machination. The Shoe Cam: We have accepted that red carpet coverage is going to be nothing but a series of commercials for luxury designers we can never afford and Giuliana Rancic's clavicles, but the "shoe cam," especially installed so we can see what celebs have on their feet, seems like it was invented in some version of hell where you wait in an endless line for Magnolia cupcakes. Jack Nicholson Reaction Shots: Yes, we get it, Jack Nicholson is inexplicably cool and possibly drunk. He usually laughs or grimaces or makes a funny face. But we've seen them all before. Can't you show Ryan Reynolds looking smug, Amy Adams looking gorgeous, Christian Bale looking like a mental patient, Tilda Swinton looking like a space alien from the planet Rangor, or Angelina Jolie's lips looking freshly glossed? Blatant New Project Promotion: If you pick someone to open an envelope at an awards show, identify the person with work they've done in the past. Having someone hand out the award for Best Lighting Design because they are the "star of future blockbuster Transformers 9" just doesn't cut it. Animated Characters Presenting Awards: Oh, look, there are cartoons at the awards show! How fun! Please. This looks about as cutting edge as Who Framed Roger Rabbit?. Unless we're going to see those blue things from Avatar have a ponytail orgy on stage, we are not interested. Montages (Except the One of Famous People Who Died): Montages are self-congratulatory, overly indulgent, and boring. We do not enjoy them. Please cut it out with the montages and show us something we have never seen before rather than stale old clips. We'll accept that we are stuck with the montage of people who have passed away over the last year, especially because we love to see who gets the most applause. Frankly, it's refreshing that people are being judged by their peers even after death.

Doable Resolutions!

5 DOABLE RESOLUTONS THAT WILL GET YOU IN SHAPE (Glamour) 1. Slim down with water! Whether you want to maintain your weight, or maybe lose 10 pounds this year, put good-old H2O to work, say researchers. A recent study found that people who drank two glasses of water before sitting down for a meal took in more calories than those who dove right in. Make it your new eating habit! 2. Buy a healthy cookbook or healthy living book: Your assignment: Head to your local bookstore and hit the healthy living/diet/cooking section. Find a book that resonates with you--whether it's about exercise or vegetarian cooking--and read it in January to pick up some new healthy living tips. 3. Update your fitness wardrobe: I know it's silly, but I have more motivation to run/workout when I actually like my fitness clothes. Nope, don't spend a fortune, but invest in a good pair of sneaks that you love and hit up Old Navy or Target for a few cute workout tops and active bottoms to start your year off right. 4. Start drinking green tea: There seems to be no limit to what this ancient tea can do for your health (from giving you gorgeous skin to helping ward off cancer). Why not make a pot today? 5. Pick up a sort of granola/hippy/New Agey health practice: No, no, no--I am so not sitting cross legged in meditation pose here, nor am I into chanting or colon cleanses, but I do think some of the self-care and health practices that come out of the more "natural" health arenas can do a body good--or at least get you focused on living a more healthful life. Whether it's picking up a new herbal tea at a local health food store, or getting into dry brushing (who knows if it works--it feels good!), sometimes picking up on a (safe) holistic or natural health practice can help you remember to care for yourself in healthy ways. Always a good thing!

Should you give him the boot????

SIGNS YOU SHOULD DUMP HIM BY NEW YEAR'S (Cosmopolitan) 1. When you ask to speak to him about moving in together, he schedules the talk for next summer. 2. Each time after you sleep together, he grabs a private notebook from his bag and scribbles something in it, giggling. 3. His friends call him by the nickname of "Cheaty McGee". 4. He loves to touch you and kiss you and will do so just as soon as he powers up and finishes killing these level-four zombies. Die, video zombies, die! 5. His ring tone is "Baby Got Back." 6. The guy's elaborate excuse for not spending the holidays together includes training for an Ironman competition. 7. Mr. Reality still entertains the idea that he could be a "stripper choreographer." 8. He's already written a scathing tell-all memoir of your relationship -- and you've only been dating for two months. 9. He calls your mom "Mrs. Robinson" and stares at her way too intensely. 10. The big spender usually splurges and buys you awesome gifts, so it'd be a real shame to dump him before Christmas.

The judging panel won't be the only difference when American Idol returns to Fox in January. Executive producer Nigel Lythgoe told TVGuide.com that finalists will be facing new challenges throughout the competition. First off, the contestants will have to make music videos. They'll also have to work on promoting themselves and work with bands and dancers for an awards show-style performance. Additionally, producers have eliminated the round where they decrease the contestants down to a group of 12 from 24. Nigel explained, "I didn't think [the top 24] were very good, I was bored with them by the time they got there." Jimmy Iovine, chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M Records, will act as an in-house mentor.

Mason Jars...Really??

Taylor Swift had been flying under the radar until Sunday's (September 12th) MTV Video Music Awards appearance. She has spent the past few months wrapped up in her upcoming Speak Now CD, which will be released on October 25th, but she has managed to squeeze in a little shopping time, as Taylor says: "I haven't really penciled in much time off. I think, for me, like, I'm just am obsessed with being in the studio, so that's what I've been doing lately, but I guess the time off category would fall into, like, going into antique stores and buying old frames, and I like mason jars. I go to these antique stores and they usually have, like, old mason jars under the counter, and I like to go and buy those cause I think they're really pretty to just have around." What do you collect?

No 'Love' in this elevator...

Well it seems like a done deal -- Steven Tyler will be among the judges for season 10 of Fox's American Idol. Despite no official announcement from either Fox or Tyler's management, Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton confirmed the long-rumored deal, telling The New Jersey Star-Ledger, "Steven is doing American Idol. The ink is dry on that. So, we'll have to work around his schedule for a new record." Meanwhile, there's controversy surrounding what appears to be footage of Joe Perry bumping Tyler offstage on Tuesday night (August 17th) at Toronto's Air Canada Centre. TMZ.com posted the fan footage shot during "Love In The Elevator" when Tyler and Perry were performing on an extended stage ramp. After Tyler playfully bumps a soloing Perry, Perry -- who was not facing Tyler -- bumps him back, sending Tyler head-first into the crowd. Perry eventually helps Tyler back on stage and Tyler gives him a playful twirl. Steven Tyler getting bumped offstage on Tuesday night: http://tinyurl.com/2eoqjmr

The Mean 13 is here again...

FRIDAY THE 13th SUPERSTITIONS: The curses that surround Friday the 13th range from sailors and fishermen being wary of going out to sea to beliefs that hearing any piece of news on the day would add a wrinkle to your face. In 1913, New York pastor Charles Reynolds even offered to marry couples for free, if they dared to challenge the superstitions. An extreme superstition is that if you have 13 people who sit down to a meal together, all will die within a year. Throughout history, many of the world's most notorious killers have had exactly 13 letters in their names, such as Jack the Ripper, Jeffrey Dahmer, Theodore Bundy, and Charles Manson. Throughout history, May 13th has seen Pope John Paul II shot and seriously wounded in Rome in 1981, Vice-President Richard Nixon attacked in Latin America in 1958, and Winston Churchill promising Parliament "to wage war, by sea, land and air with all our might and strength that God can give" in 1940. Finally, in 1993, a study in the British Medical Journal concluded that the "risk of a transport accident on Friday the 13th may be increased by as much as 52% and that staying at home was recommended." (Source: Mail & Guardian Online) FRIDAY THE 13th ODDITIES: More than 80 percent of high-rises lack a 13th floor. Many airports skip the 13th gate. Some airplanes have no 13th row of seats. Hospitals and hotels regularly have no room number 13. Italians omit the number 13 from their national lottery. On streets in Florence, Italy, the house between number 12 and 14 is addressed as 12 and a half. Many cities do not have a 13th Street or a 13th Avenue. In France, socialites known as the quatorziens (fourteeners) once made themselves available as 14th guests to keep a dinner party from an unlucky fate. If you have 13 letters in your name, you will have the devil's luck. Jack the Ripper, Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer, Theodore Bundy, and Albert De Salvo all have 13 letters in their names. Nice work, IF you can get it!

Are you kidding?? 5 million bucks a year, to sit on glamorous TV set, and ask cream puff, softballs questions to celebs??? WOW! MARY HART TAKES A PAY CUT: Mary Hart reportedly took a pay cut of up to 50 percent in order to keep her job as co-host of Entertainment Tonight for one more season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. But here's the astonishing part. Hart was apparently making $5 million a year! Which might explain why they're looking for a new host to replace her after 29 years on the syndicated show. CBS Television Distribution declined to comment. With syndication and advertising revenues falling, there may be few such superstar salaries in the future, on ET or anywhere else. I think I'll sleep better knowing that she's only making 2.5 million... Great!

The show must go on!!

Jon Bon Jovi wasn't going to a leg injury get in his way. While performing at the New Meadowlands stadium in New Jersey this past Friday, he suffered a calf injury and was seen limping around on stage. He even had to be held up by his bandmates while walking off stage, but is doing fine. According to the Star-Ledger, his rep released a statement saying, "Near the end of Bon Jovi's two-and-a-half hour show at New Meadowlands Stadium on Friday night, Jon Bon Jovi sustained a torn calf muscle. Jon made light of the injury and went on to close the show with their anthemic hit, 'Living On a Prayer.' The band ended the night together, thanking the capacity home-town crowd, and assisting Jon off the stage. The injury will not prevent Bon Jovi from playing any of their upcoming stadium dates this summer." Watch Bon Jovi's performance from Friday -- with him limping: http://tinyurl.com/28q55h3

That kinda sucks...

Rob Pattinson's success in the Twilight saga should come as no surprise -- since he's apparently related to a famous vampire! Researchers at Ancestry.co.uk revealed that the 24-year-old actor has ties to Vlad III Dracula, a.k.a. Vlad the Impaler, the Transylvanian leader widely thought to be the inspiration for the main character in Bram Stoker's legendary 1897 novel Dracula. Supposedly, the tie between Pattinson and Vlad comes from their common relationship to the British royal family. England's Prince William and Prince Harry are Pattinson's distant cousins and Vlad the Impaler was their distant uncle. Find your family: http://www.searchforancestors.com/

Buh, Bye!

Workplace Buzzwords Be Gone! Appearing a little foolish isn't the only danger of using worn-out buzzwords. You can also confuse people if your industry jargon is unfamiliar to them. This is especially true in the workplace. A Robert Half survey recently identified the most common workplace buzzwords. Following are just a small handful. Are you guilty of using the following terms? · Game changer -- As in, "Transitioning from products to solutions was a game changer for our company." · Value-add -- As in, "We have to evaluate the value-add of this initiative before we invest more." The Mayer defends the Baker...

Singing the Star Spangled Banner isn't always an easy task, and when Anita Baker was put to the challenge at Game Four of NBA Finals last week, she faced some criticism for her performance. Now John Mayer has taken to his blog to defend Baker, explaining, "I feel badly that Anita Baker is taking flak for her performance of the Star Spangled Banner at game 4 of the NBA Finals. That song is technically one of the most difficult songs to do justice to, and it's almost always performed in high-anxiety situations. I know Francis Scott Key is known as the song's composer but I have reason to believe it was actually written by an evil Texas Instruments graphing calculator."
